22 Jharkhand Battalion NCC organises blood donation camp 26 blood donors donate blood to humanity

On May 23, 22 Jharkhand Battalion NCC Hazaribagh in collaboration with Voluntary Blood Donors Association and Sheikh Bhikari Medical College organized a blood donation camp and blood donation awareness camp at NCC camp-IV organised at Polytechnic College, Silwar. The camp was inaugurated by Nirmal Jain, President of Voluntary Blood Donors Association, Brigadier Rajesh Karel, NCC Group Commander, Col Antony, Commanding Officer. Mr Nirmal Jain informed the NCC cadets about the benefits of blood donation and awareness about blood donation. The CATC-IV camp of NCC was held for the last 10 days.

535 NCC cadets were participating in which 300 were from Junior Division. Impressed by the awareness, all the cadets were eager to donate blood, but due to low weight and low age, they were deprived of donating blood. They resolved to donate blood when they turn 18 years old in the future. The camp was inaugurated by CO Antony Henry Selvam, who donated blood to boost the morale of the cadets. After that Atul Kumar Srilal Goswami Sohan Kumar Devraj Kumar Navneet Kumar Pathak Ayush Kumar Singh Nitesh Kumar Yadav Sunny Raj Rohit Kumar Rinki Gupta Karan Kumar Chaman Singh Ashish Ayush Raj Asha Kumari Shreya Kumari Wahlen Nag Anamika Kumari Philip Marandi Ankush Kumar Pintu Yadav Subodh Kumar Prince Kumar Avinash Pradhan and Surendra Kumar etc. 26 blood donors donated blood and introduced humanity. After donating blood, Nirmal Jain, president of Voluntary Blood Donors Association, wished all the blood donors bright and thanked them for their good deeds and honoured the organizers and blood donors with certificates.

Group Commander Brigadier Rajesh Karel of NCC Headquarters Hazaribagh and Lt Col Antony, Subedar Major Jagdish, ANO Rajiv Ranjan and 16 Army trainer ,aongwith Voluntary Blood Donors Association President Nirmal Jain, office bearers and staff of the medical college were special support in making the camp a success.
