ANEMIA MUKT BHARAT – Awareness program in NCC CATC-VIII Camp at Silwar, Hzb.

On 3rd July 2025, an Anti-Anemia Awareness and check-up Program was conducted at the NCC Annual Training Camp, under the aegis of 22 Jharkhand Battalion NCC, Hazaribagh. The session was graced by Dr. Vinita, who addressed the SW & JW cadets on the causes, symptoms, prevention, and cure of Anemia (lack of Ananmei – red blood cell)in detail.
Around 120 NCC SW & JW cadets attended the program along with C.T.O (Care Taker Officers), A.N.O (Associate NCC Officers), and the P.I staff. The event was organised by Lt Colonel Antony Henry, Commanding Officer of 22 Jharkhand Battalion NCC, Hazaribagh, in collaboration with Govt Sadar Hosp Hzb..
Dr. Vinita elaborated on the importance of self awareness during menstruation Monthlyies,personal hygiene, early diagnosis of heavy periods, and regular intake of supplements in preventing the disease and making Indian women Anemia-Free. She also highlighted the government’s initiatives in eliminating it espcially from backward and tribal regions.
A Hemoglobin test was also conducted for the cadets to check overall health awareness and early detection of anemia-related issues, which are common among youth in this region and can impact their physical performance and endurance.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks to Dr. Vinita for her valuable insights and efforts in spreading awareness among young SW & JW cadets. The medical officials appreciated the initiative of NCC and encouraged cadets to be ambassadors of public health in their respective communities.
